COURSES ON OFFER

The majority of students in the L6 study 4 subjects at AS level and continue with 3 of these subjects to
A level, in the U6. Students, can if they wish, continue with all 4 subjects in the U6.
Students also have the opportunity to study General Studies or Critical Thinking at AS level over 2 years.
The general requirement for application to university is 1 AS and 3 A level qualifications.

We also offer a BTEC National Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development and a Level 3 Specialist Diploma in Engineering. These courses are full time, vocational courses and are not studied with any other course. They are equivalent to 3/4 A level subjects.

For students who do not achieve the entry criteria for advanced level subjects, level 2 courses, in IT and Public Services are available. These are full time courses, which incorporate resit lessons in Mathematics and/or English if required. Success on these courses may enable students to access advanced courses, the following year.
