Study Facilities and Resources

The new school and our Technology College status provide the students with a wealth of resources to enhance advanced level study. At this level it is essential that students learn to study independently and develop research skills and students are encouraged to use the extensive resources available when they are not in lessons.

The Learning Resource Centre is a place for study, research and for reading for pleasure in comfortable surroundings.
The library section has over 10,000 books in stock and periodicals, magazines and newspapers for reference.
In the IT section there are 35 computers available, with internet access, a scanner and colour printer.

Sixth Form Study rooms are available for students during their free periods, lunch times, breaks and before and after school. There are over 40 computers available in these rooms, with internet access, for independent study and research. The Common Room also has 10 available computers.

Subject Area Resources are also available for students use, with permission. All areas have IT resources, subject related software, books and  periodicals which will enhance understanding and expand their depth of knowledge.
