BOOKS - The LRC offers a wide range of books including Fiction, Non-Fiction, Fact, Reference etc. There are currently more than 12,000 books in the library and the numbers are rising. The books are replaced often to ensure all out of date books are removed and the most up to date information is available to everyone. Books are loaned for two weeks. Years 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 are allowed 2 books at a time. Sixth Form are allowed Four books at a time.

DVD / VIDEOS - There are a large variety of DVD's available to pupils and staff. This include movies, documentaries, shakespeare etc. DVD's are loaned to pupils one at a time for a week and best of all, its FREE!!! All year groups are only allowed one DVD/Video at a time.

LAPTOP - Laptops are availale to pupils and staff to help with their homework and coursework. In order to loan a laptop, a signed note from the relavent member of staff along with a disclaimer (available at request from LRC) signed by parent/guardian must be handed in to the LRC office. Laptops are loaned for one night and therefore must be returned the morning after, before form, unless special permission is granted.

DIGITAL / VIDEO CAMCORDER - These are also availabe at request but also requires a signed note from a member of staff and disclaimer signed by parent/guardian. These are loaned for one night unless special permission is granted.

QUIET AREA - There is a quiet area in the LRC available to pupils at break, lunch,before & after schools for quiet reading.

DROP IN - The drop-in is available to all pupils at breaks, lunch, before & after school to do their homework or other school related work in. Due to large number of pupils wanting to use the Drop-in, a year rota has been ut into place to ensure that all years get the same number of days and everyone has an equal chance of being able to use the computers.

There are more than 40 computers available.The drop-in can also be used for lessons but must be booked in advance.
