Sixth Form Learning Agreement

Our responsibilities to all Sixth Form Students.

  • To implement the Mission Statement into every aspect of school life.
  • To have a committed and dedicated 6th form management team and team of 6th form tutors who care and respect students as individual young adults.
  • To provide advice and guidance on course choices to help you succeed and progress.
  • To provide appropriate teaching and preparation for external examinations, including assessment of your work.
  • To track your progress against national predicted grades and set targets for improvement.
  • To provide annual reports on your academic progress, attendance and effort.
  • To provide study and ICT facilities for independent work.
  • To provide PSHE, including advice on careers and application for Higher Education
  • To offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities and responsibilities within the school, for personal development.
  • To provide a safe environment for study.

Your responsibilities.

  • To implement the 6th form Code of Conduct, namely:
  • to actively promote the school’s ethos, values and mission and lead by example.
    • to attend and be punctual at assemblies, form tutor periods, church services and lessons.
    • to aim high in both academic attainment and future aspirations and achieve the ALIS minimum predicted grades in your subjects.
    • to maintain a high standard of appearance and adhere to the sixth form uniform code.
  • To meet deadlines set by teachers in all set work.
  • To spend the recommended 5 hours of independent work on each of your subjects.
  • To adhere to the school rules and regulations and be a good role model for younger pupils and ambassador for the school at school events.
  • To behave in a mature manner and be courteous and considerate towards others.
  • To show respect to your teachers and take on board their advice and guidance.
  • To extend your academic curriculum by participating in enrichment opportunities, voluntary work and/or take on positions of responsibility within the school.
