GCSE PE Grade B

For pupils who have not taken GCSE PE a grade B in Science, Maths or English is required

Regular participation in two sports

AS Anatomy & Physiology
Socio-cultural studies
Skill Acquisition
A2 Exercise Physiology
Historical Studies
Comparative Studies
35% Practical
Personal performance in two sports for which evidence of regular training is essential.

ASSIGNMENTS
Set on a regular basis. An assessed oral evaluative response is required at AS and A2.
AS
One theory examination paper at the end of AS and A2
Observed assessment of practical performance in two sports
Practical speech is required at AS and A2

USEFULNESS IN THE FUTURE
Qualification for entry into Higher Education and other vocational areas. Essential for sport related courses and PE teaching.
