'Trench Life' WW1 Experience
On Friday 23rd October we invited some Year 5 pupils from local schools to our ‘4D Immersive Space', to discover what life was like in the trenches. Using a mixture of digital media, WW1 artefacts, and 'real-life’ soldiers (6th form drama students), the pupils were challenged to research and film their very own news report 'live from the trenches'.
At the end of the day we all sat down to watch the news reports from each group. "It was exciting watching them and i'd like to do something like that at school" said one pupil from St James Lower Darwen Primary School.
It was a brilliant day and the students will return to their primary schools with their news reports, ready to share with their classes!
