AS English Literature Success

Congratulations to the Year 12 students in the AS English Literature group who took the English Literature AS examination early and were delighted by their results in March 2013.  Well done!

For the LITB1 exam, the students were required to write about two novels:  ‘The Great Gatsby;’ ‘The Kite Runner’ and poetry by Frost and Tennyson.

A special well done to Amy Parker and Tom Issacs, who both achieved ‘A’ grades - a fantastic achievement… We’re proud of you.

Exams and Bad weather

11/01/2013 09:06:48

Exams and Bad Weather.

In the event of heavy snow in the region and the school being closed we will still attempt to open so that the students have the opportunity to sit their exams. Pupils should report to the exam venue as previously advised by 8:50am for a morning exam and 12:50pm for an afternoon session. Please be advised that if students arrive late beyond a particular point of time it may not be possible for them to take the examination. Students should not take any risk to their safety to get to school if the conditions are particularly bad either in the area where they live or around school. If a student misses or is late for an exam it is not possible for them to take it on another day in January. If an exam is missed due to the weather conditions a further entry will be made for the summer season and special consideration will be applied for. The fees for examinations missed in these circumstances will be paid for by the School.
