22 - 28 JULY
(exc. weekend)
8:30AM - 2:30PM
each day
We would like to invite your Year 6 child to attend our exciting Summer School, which will take place at the Academy on the following dates in July: Thurs 22nd, Fri 23rd, Mon 26th, Tues 27th and Weds 28th.
The summer school is a completely free programme during which your child will experience a range of activities aimed at preparing them for life at Saint Wilfrid's C of E Academy.

The theme for the week will be 'LIVE!' which is taken from our motto: 'Lord direct us to live life to the full'. We believe that this life should be lived out to the full and the 5-day programme will incorporate the following:
Sessions designed to boost literacy skills, improve confidence in maths and introduce new subject areas such as Drama, Technology and Languages.
Sessions will be led by a team of inspirational staff who will encourage students to try activities outside of their comfort zone whilst also supporting them during this difficult period of transition from primary to secondary school.
We will encourage students to form good habits over the summer holidays and share their achievements with us in September - they will be set some 'side missions' for the holidays!
The 5 days will give all attendees a memorable experience; as well as learning new skills, students will take-part in exciting and varied activities.
The days will run from 8:30am to 2:30pm and every child will be provided with a lunch and drink each day.
All students who have a place at St Wilfrid's starting in September 2021 are welcome to come. It's a great opportunity to build on the experiences you will get from the Induction Days in July. Pupils will reconnect with friends, become more familiar with the Academy building and get to know more of the St Wilfrid's staff.
Please complete the enrolment form that you have been sent, by 12 noon on Tuesday 13th July. You can return the from to the main reception at St Wilfrid's C of E Academy, Duckworth St, Blackburn, BB2 2JR
