Transition to Year 7

At St Wilfrid's C of E Academy, we place great importance on supporting pupils as they move from Year 6 to Year 7. Starting secondary school is an exciting milestone, and our transition programme is carefully designed to ensure every student feels confident, prepared and welcomed into our community.

From our Open Evening in September through to our bespoke transition events, parental information evening and three transition days in July, we provide opportunities for pupils and families to become familiar with school life, meet key staff and begin building positive relationships.

At St Wilfrid’s, being a Wilfridian means growing in confidence, forming new friendships and flourishing through an enriching secondary education. We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 pupils in September and beginning this journey together.
