Love Your Neighbour Week 2025

School News / Jul 14th 2025
Love Your Neighbour Week is a treasured annual tradition at our school, where we come together to live out our core values through learning, kindness, service, and celebration.
Each year, we explore a new theme that helps us grow in understanding and connection—both within our school and beyond.
This year, our focus was on Blackburn, brought to life through the strapline:
“Explore, understand, belong – One town. Many stories. One community.”
Throughout the week, our values shine in every activity:
- Wisdom – Pupils dive into engaging lessons centred on the annual theme, encouraging curiosity, reflection, and deeper understanding.
- Love – Acts of kindness take centre stage as students write heartfelt nomination cards, and staff recognise moments of care with “You’ve Been Spotted Loving Your Neighbour” cards.
- Hope – We support a local charity each year, raising awareness and vital funds. In 2025, we stood alongside Church on the Streets Ministries, amplifying their important work.
- Koinonia – We come together as one school community, celebrating unity in diversity through our much-loved Culture and Diversity Day, sharing stories, traditions, and meaningful conversations.
Love Your Neighbour Week reminds us of the power of empathy, understanding, and shared humanity. It's more than just a week—it's a way of life
