Holocaust Memorial Day

Today, our academy was honoured to attend the annual Holocaust Memorial Day service at Blackburn Cathedral, hosted by the Blackburn with Darwen Interfaith Forum, alongside the council.

The service commemorated the six million Jewish people, and all others, who suffered and lost their lives during the Holocaust, as well as those affected by subsequent genocides. In keeping with the 2026 theme, Bridging Generations, our academy was invited to contribute a speech reflecting on remembrance, honour, and the responsibility of carrying these stories forward through our students’ generation.

It was a powerful and memorable morning. Thank you to our HST students who represented the academy at the service.
