St Wilfrid’s has shaped me for the better—when I first came in, I was nervous (we didn’t get to do the normal induction days due to Covid), but the summer school helped me find friends, learn about the House spirit and how the teachers work.
Over the years, I’ve been involved in netball, choir, worship band, chess, writing and reading clubs, and that’s helped me gain confidence on stage and connect deeply with others.
The teachers just want what’s best for you, and even if something is hard, they’ll sit down with you, push you, and never give up on helping you improve. I’ve seen students go from failing to passing, just because of how much the teachers have cared and offered their support.
Through the House system and the Christian ethos, I’ve learned about giving, kindness, and supporting others, like how our charity work helped lift a child in Rwanda out of extreme poverty.
The community here is the best part—everyone is kind, everyone smiles at each other, and that’s what makes students really love this school.
