We are aware of an issue with Firefly and have reported it to their tech team. We hope it will be resolved shortly.
UPDATE @ 12 noon - Firefly appears to be working again. Please keep trying if you're still struggling or try again shortly.
Students must continue to test twice a week and report all results to the NHS (online) and the Academy (Firefly). If no Internet - report once you get your iPad (do not come in if the result is positive!) Please don't bring your lateral flow device into the Academy - just make a note of the number.
Please can Year 11 students make sure they have passed on any photos they wish to be considered for the yearbook to the yearbook team, before the end of the first week back after Easter (Fri 23rd April). The deadline for submitting your comments is still Weds 21st April.
Please note the number 97 bus is still en route to the Academy having got caught in some traffic. Students are waiting outside the Academy and will be supervised by staff until the bus arrives.
Some of our Y10s were invited to a virtual reward for their fantastic D&T work in school/during lockdown. They explored iconic 20th century objects from the V&A’s collection, with a professional designer. Well done James, Erin, Daniel, William and Alannah!
The canteen is now running updated menus for students in their zones. To purchase food, students need to ensure they are bringing their student ID with them every day and that this is pre-loaded with funds via ParentPay. Please carefully read the allergens information at the bottom of each menu.
Tomorrow (Weds 10th March) is our Year 9 Video Parents' Evening. Please can Y9 Parents/Carers read the latest letter (sent Tues 9th) and the Video Call Instructions Guide.
Welcome Back page is now live with further information for all students regarding their return to the Academy next week.
Please can all parents/carers read through the latest updates regarding the reopening of the Academy, found on the Coronavirus Latest news page. A letter will be following shortly.
Congratulations to all the Y6 students who have successfully received their place at St Wilfrid's starting in September 2021. We can't wait to welcome you into the St Wilfrid's family and are excited to continue the Transition process with you very soon.
For your child to take part in the mass testing, you must complete the online (by 5pm today) or paper consent form. Please submit/return this as soon as possible to help with planning. If you've already filled one in for testing then you don't need to do it again.
The Academy will be back open to staff and the students of key workers tomorrow (Friday), as per the usual arrangements. Thanks to everyone for their co-operation today.
We have unfortunately had to take the decision to close the Academy on Thurs 25th Feb, due to gas repair work and the potential for excavation close to the Academy building. Read full letter.
