A number of our students had the privilege of visiting the Knife Angel Sculpture over at Blackburn Cathedral this week. After a poignant time of reflection on the history and meaning of the stunning piece of art, our students took part in a workshop hosted by the Blackburn Diocese Board of Education. They engaged in some great discussions and learning surrounding knife crime statistics and topics such as forgiveness.
Students then looked into the challenges that communities such as Blackburn may face and the ways that towns like this can work together to bring about peace and harmony and become a safer place for all. The morning finished with a final moment of paying respects to those who have been affected by knife crime.
