Harry Potter Night 2024

March 4, 2024
We turned the Library into the wizarding world of Harry Potter with fun activities for the students

Harry Potter Night was a successful evening of fun-filled magical activities for the students to take part in. They were placed into the four Hogwarts houses and then took part in some Potter-themed games. We started the night with some competitive tabletop quidditch, and after some very close matches, Hufflepuff was declared the winning house! The students tested their Harry Potter knowledge with a Kahoot quiz, with the final activity being a challenging scavenger hunt that even stumped our KS4 & 5 student librarians. Lots of prizes were given out for the winners of each event, and of course for the coveted 'best costume' prize, which went to Erin in Y8 for her fantastic Professor Trelawney outfit. Thank you to all the staff involved in making the event fun for the students!

Student librarians Luke (Y10) and Zahra (Y8) said the following:

"Harry Potter Night was brilliant! The competitive challenges and puzzling quizzes all came together to create this amazing night. I honestly loved the tabletop quidditch, the idea was awesome and was a great way to get all the houses involved. Thanks for a great night!"

"Harry Potter Night was easily one of my favourite book-associated events that I have been to! Whether it was the food or the photos, or maybe the costumes or the amazing energy in the room, from start to finish everything was perfect!"
